바다에 갔더니

바닷가에 왔더니
바다와 같이 당신 생각만 나는 구려
바다와 같이 당신을 사랑하고만 싶구려 
구붓하고 모래톱을 오르면
당신이 앞선 것만 같구려
당신이 뒤선 것만 같구려
그리고 지중지중 물가를 거닐면
당신이 이야기 하는 것만 같구려
당신이 이야기를 끊은 것만 같구려

– 백석 時 바다 中 –

겨울 바다에 갔다.

바닷빛깔 같은 하늘 사이로 바람이 불었고

우리는 걸었다.

해맞이 공원에서 시작한 바닷길은

때로는 모래톱으로 부드러웠고

때로는 갈대밭으로 흔들거렸고

때로는 징검다리로 겅중거렸다.

한참을 걷던 그림자가 어느새 길게 늘어질 무렵

저녁 햇살이 황금빛으로 눈부시고

갈매기들 한가롭게 부리를 쪼았다.

동해 바닷가의 소나무들 저마다 사연안고

짭짜름한 비린내 머금은 겨울바람 맞으며

젖은 호흡처럼 구불거리는 파도를 바라보던

그날.

내가 알던 바다보다 

더 아름다운 바다였다.

그날의 바다에 감사하고

그날의 걸음에 감사하고

그날을 함께해서 감사하다.
